Harry Redknapp admitted Tottenham Hotspur did not perform well enough in the final third to take anything from Saturday's surprise 1-0 defeat at home to Wolves. Kevin Doyle scored the crucial winner to help Wolves move out of the bottom three and put a huge dent in Tottenham's Champions League aspirations. Doyle netted the only goal of the game after just three minutes with a close-range header to give Wolves their first victory at White Hart Lane since 1973. Coogi Hoodies "We probably didn't create enough chances," admitted Redknapp. "We had loads of the ball, probably about 80 per cent, ball but it's hard when teams just sit in there. It's hard to break them down and they had no need to come out. "The better reputation you get as a team, the more teams go away from home and make it difficult for you. "If you're going to be a top team you have to find a way of breaking them down. That's what the top teams do but we just couldn't unlock the door." Monster Energy Caps Meanwhile, Spurs full-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto could find himself in trouble after allegations of a spat with a fan at full-time. A delighted Moyes beamed: "It was a great draw for us. I'd have certainly taken a draw before the game with the team that we had out. Women's clothing "They didn't half show great resilience and endeavour. We know the quality Chelsea have got and we know that at the moment we can't match that. "I have to give great credit to the boys that played. I thought they were immense. "Chelsea have very few weaknesses. Undoubtedly they are in the top-three teams in this country and the same in Europe. They have very few weaknesses and I thought we kept at it. "The team showed a great spirit and that's what we've tended to do at Everton. I'd say this was our best result of the season. Chelsea caused us lots of problems, but I think we're entitled to that bit of luck." Bape Caps Louis Vuitton Women Bags

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti broke his own code of not criticising referees as the pressure of the title race showed for the first time since he arrived at Stamford Bridge. Affliction Shirts Ancelotti blamed referee Howard Webb for two 'important mistakes' as Chelsea slumped to their third defeat of the season at Manchester City and saw their lead at the top of the Premier League cut to two points by Manchester United who were convincing winners at West Ham. Pointing the finger: John Terry was unhappy with Manchester City's equaliser, complaining to referee Howard Webb over Micah Richards' alleged handball His reaction was completely at Mens Affliction Jeans odds with what he had said after suffering his first defeat at Wigan earlier in the season, when they lost 3-1. On that occasion, he refused to condemn Phil Dowd for sending off keeper Petr Cech, declaring: 'I don't like to speak about the decisions of the referee.' Ancelotti was less reticent after seeing Chelsea's lead from an Emmanuel Adebayor own goal cancelled out first by Adebayor's equaliser, which cannoned into his path off the elbow of Micah Richards, and then a Carlos Tevez free-kick which was awarded for a challenge by Ricardo Carvalho on the striker. Chelsea head coach Carlo Ancelotti was not too concerned after seeing his side beaten 2-1 at Manchester City, as their lead at the top of the Premier League was cut to two points. Affliction Handbags Despite taking an early lead at Eastlands, Ancelotti's men crashed to defeat after Frank Lampard missed a penalty and Didier Drogba passed up a fine late chance - with Chelsea having six players booked in the game. Ancelotti told his club's official website: "Manchester City did a very good game. They put strong pressure on our midfield and we found it difficult to play. "But we had opportunities at the end to return a draw, Women's clothing the penalty and through Didier, but this happens. "We didn't lose control of the game but towards the end, because we had a lot of players in attack, we had to play at the back with some one-against-ones and it is easy to take a yellow card if you lose the fight with the opponent. "We suffered pressure by the midfield players of Manchester City and when the opposing team put pressure on, we have to have more confidence to play. "We do not need to have a big reaction, because the team is still in a good moment, we showed good play today, but it was difficult because Man City played very well. "Basically, from the usual First Team squad, we're down to about 12 or 13 players and we'll make up the rest from the Development Squad."4US Men Shoes Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists he is doing the right thing by treating the Carling Cup purely as a breeding ground for his younger players. Although Arsenal were competing in their sixth successive quarter-final, the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City at Eastlands is more important to some Gunners fans because it has robbed the club of a potential trophy. While it would be ridiculous to suggest Wenger's position is under threat, after four seasons without any silverware, some Arsenal's supporters are questioning whether the Frenchman's policy is the right one. Harsh lesson: Former Gunners striker Emmanuel Adebayor consoles Sanchez Watt (left) and Aaron Ramsey after Arsenal's 3-0 defeat at Eastlands After all, on the back of a home hammering by Chelsea and defeat at Sunderland, it seems to be a pretty bleak time at the north London club. Alberto Guandiani Yet Wenger is standing by his philosophy because he just does not view the Carling Cup as a trophy of any consequence. 'I know we have not won a trophy since 2005 but I do not consider that if you win the Carling Cup you will be going on a trophy parade,' he said. 'It is a competition for our younger players. If I don't play them here where would I play them? 'We played in the quarter-final of the Champions League last season against top teams. Playing in those matches is 10 times harder than playing in the Carling Cup.' In fact, Wenger felt his youngsters learned some valuable lessons themselves last night given the intensity City were forced to play at in order to satisfy their own demanding public. 'Our young players are not used to matches of that intensity,' said Wenger. 'They found it a little bit difficult. 'I suppose this is the price you pay for having a policy like the one I choose. | Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to take a chance on Micah Richards, if Manchester City decide to offload the erratic defender. There are concerns over the player's future at Eastlands after several below-par performances, while the 21-year-old England international's attitude has been questioned by the club's hierarchy after clashes with City boss Mark Hughes. But Ferguson believes his legendary style of man-management that has brought discipline to many young tearaways at Manchester United could control Richards and bring the best out of the versatile defender, according to The Mirror. Frustration: Manchester City's Micah Richards (left) looks dejected after Hull equalised at Eastlands on Saturday with a late Jimmy Bullard penalty Richards, 21, signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with City in February 2008 but has only started eight times for Hughes this season. A crushing 3-0 home defeat by Chelsea on Sunday left the Gunners 11 points behind the Blues, albeit with a game in hand. However, Russia forward Arshavin is not prepared to throw in the towel on his title dream and believes Arsenal were unlucky against Carlo Ancelotti's ruthless side. UGG Classic Metallic 5812 Staying positive: Arshavin (right) is convinced Arsenal can still catch Chelsea 'We haven't stopped fighting for the championship,' said the 28-year-old. 'I think that if we manage to win the next couple of games, then everything will fall into place. After all, Chelsea can stumble, too. But we have to win ourselves.' Didier Drogba was the difference between the two sides, scoring a sublime double split by a Thomas Vermaelen own goal, but Arshavin believes the scoreline did not reflect the balance of the game. 'I think that we were playing our game but Chelsea scored,' he said. 'The initiative was on our side but we were unable to take our chances. Women's clothing 'As for Chelsea, they, on the contrary, managed to score three times. They organized the game this way: they hardly tried to play on the counter-attack, they just tried to use their chances in the attack. Everton and Liverpool's proposed ground share has reared its head once again after the Toffees planned £400m stadium and retail development in Kirkby was dismissed by the government on Thursday. News of the rejection was welcomed by Swimwear Dave Kelly, the chairman of the supporters' group Keep Everton in our City (KEIOC), while in contrast Toffees' chief executive Robert Elstone called the decision "very disappointing". They played the best football, had the best chances, until late on when Claude Puel, the Lyon coach, introduced his star striker, Lisandro, and threw the kitchen sink at securing at least a draw and first place in the group. Fiorentina froze. They defended too deep, inviting Lyon on, and became imprisoned in their half. Sebastien Frey, the goalkeeper, looked vulnerable and made the curious decision to punch clear a free-kick that arrived dipping at waist height. His central defenders appeared to abdicate responsibility, allowing a ridiculous number of crosses to pitch in the penalty area. 4US Men Shoes The crowd howled their dismay. As a tutorial on the way to throw away a football match, it could not have been bettered. As Fiorentina floundered and fluttered we saw what the final game atAnfield could have looked like, had only Liverpool stayed in touch. Thisis not an outstanding team. Fiorentina can play, but they lack mentalstrength. Had Lyon equalised and Liverpool needed to win 3-0 toprogress on December 9, it would have been the time to bet like men. On the spot: Juan Vargas celebrates after scoring the penalty that sees Fiorentina into the knockout stages of the Champions League Somehow, though, Fiorentina survived. The victory was slender yet, ultimately, deserved.Alberto Guandiani Perm any one from two for who made the crucially mistimed tackle on Marco Marchionni for the decisive penalty in the 26th minute, but Aly Cissokho seemed to have got there marginally later than Cris. There were no real complaints, and only unbridled elation from the home side when Juan Vargas, the Peru midfielder, stepped up slow but finished fast, his spot-kick struck smartly to Hugo Lloris's right. At the other end, Frey made outstanding saves from Jean Il Makoun and Lisandro, and eventually referee Olegario Benquerenca, from Portugal, brought Florentine anguish to an end, at which moment Stadio Artemio Franchi achieved lift off and the truth behind the night's noisy facade became apparent. Cesare Prandelli, the Fiorentina coach, had talked this up as the biggest match of the season, and now we know why. Nobody is better aware of a side's weakness than their trainer, and Prandelli knew his would not withstand the pressure of a showdown at Anfield.BIKKEM BERGS Shoes The team bus travelled to the ground on a sea of bravado, escorted by a boisterous crowd past apartment buildings draped in vibrant colour, but Prandelli knew they had to get the job done at home. Fiorentina had beaten Liverpool here but still they did not believe. They were intimidated by the reputation of a side who do not know when they are beaten; that win a Champions League final from 3-0 down and once scored 16 goals in three games when the heat was on. They did not realise that the Liverpool of old have taken leave this season. Happy days: Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli celebrates after his side's narrow win Since the Champions League adopted a 32-team group stage format 11 seasons ago only two English clubs had failed to make it to the knock-out stage. Now Liverpool are the third. A team and manager once considered to have this competition in their pockets will now be banished to the Europa League to play games on the night football forgot. Liverpool will juggle with the same fixture list as Fulham and Everton. Ignore what Jamie Carragher says about it not being such a bad thing: the ignominy of joining the Thursday club is a humiliation that will not be easily forgotten. Remember when AC Milan went to Portsmouth? It was like seeing a once famous face reduced to doing pub gigs.BOSS Men Shoes Michel Platini, the UEFA president, will be delighted his new competition has a star turn topping the bill, but Liverpool may have to get used to it. Unless their Premier League form undergoes rapid improvement, the Europa League could be a natural home next season. Even this season it will feel strange not to hear the beautiful serenade of You'll Never Walk Alone in the Champions League's closing stages. Now, of course, Fiorentina will visit Anfield as no more than tourists, the thrilling denouement to this Champions League campaign nothing more than a glorified sight-seeing expedition. They will see Anfield, the way visitors with cameras seek out Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. And they may even have time to pop by Knotty Ash, still home to the greatest of Liverpool comics. Dear old Doddy would have had the perfect sign off for Benitez and his diddy men in the Champions League this season. Tatty bye everybody, he would say. Tatty bye.D&G Men Shoes DC Men Shoes | ||

Sunderland goalkeeper Marton Fulop is hoping to impose himself as the club's first choice following Craig Gordon's latest injury problem. Scotland keeper Gordon has been ruled out for up to three months with a broken arm which reopens the first-team door for Fulop. Air Jordan 1 The Hungary international made 26 Premier League appearances for the Black Cats last season when he deputised for Gordon following a long-term knee injury. "I don't think the manager has decided yet who his number one is," Fulop told The Journal. "The more games you get, the more chances you get to impress, and I hope we get a good result against Arsenal (at the weekend) and I can play my part.Air Jordan 2 "I definitely don't think the manager needs to bring in a new goalkeeper. "Sunderland have three good goalkeepers - I include Trevor Carson as well. "Craig is Scotland's number one and a very good goalkeeper and I am an international as well.Air Jordan 3 "All three of us want to prove to him that there is no need to sign another goalkeeper." "It's about finding the right candidate at the right price," he said. "We've lost managers because of salary." Asked whether the SFA would consider the Republic of Ireland model which sees Giovanni Trapattoni's salary privately subsidised, he said: "Whether that can be achieved is something that we'll have to look at." Smith ruled out a part-time manager, saying: "It's not a consideration. Women's clothing "The last three managers we've had - and George Burley was very good at it - would go out and do an awful lot of the ambassadorial work." Smith defended the appointment of Burley 22 months ago, which had been greeted by a mixed response at the time. "The SFA chose George to go forward because we did our homework on him in terms of his qualities as a manager," he said. "The one thing you can never tell when someone gets appointed to a job, especially when it is a change from club football to international football, whether they are going to be a success." Smith admitted Burley's plan to turn Scotland into an entertaining side had "not worked out" but insisted the performances in the final two World Cup qualifiers against Macedonia and Holland justified keeping him on.
